Council Approval

Councils across the region (Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla, Bega Valley) have differing rules but most are reasonable to work with. SEPP complying development applies for granny flats and qualifying secondary dwellings. Standard DAs typically run 10 to 14 weeks. Coastal vulnerability and bushfire prone overlays apply in many areas.

Cost Realities

Build costs sit similar to the Hunter, generally below Sydney. The further south, the more transport cost adds. Eden is the longest haul. For all locations we quote transport as a fixed line, no surprises.
