What is Modular Construction?

Modular construction is a process in which a building is constructed off-site, under controlled factory conditions, using the same materials and designing to the same codes (Building Code of Australia (BCA) compliant) and standards as conventionally built facilities – but in about half the time. Buildings are produced in “modules” that when put together on site, reflect the identical design intent and specifications of the most sophisticated site-built facility – without compromise.

Is Quality of Modular Home the same as on-Site Building

Absolutely. Hi-Tech Modular homes are BCA (Building Code of Australia) compliant and adhere to the council approved drawings. The building methodology and inclusions are no different to an on-site building.

In the case of Hi-Tech Modular homes our inclusions are of high quality and we provide upgrade options at very competitive prices.

How is Modular Homes Different to on-Site Building?

Modular homes can be installed on uneven land that has gradients of over 1.8-2.0 meters. Modular homes do NOT incur site cost and concrete slab cost. This is a substantial savings. Unlike a site builder, we are only on your site for up to 2 days during the install process. Modular homes have no weather or noise restrictions as they are built in a factory, meaning no delays throughout the build process.

No excavation, retaining walls, land fill or geotechnical reports required.

Do you obtain council Approval?

Yes, Hi-Tech Modular Homes is a home builder, where our services include concept design, compliance assurance, council submission/approval, in-factory construction, delivery and install on site.

What other Benefits

Modular homes have many benefits over traditional on-site built homes. As modular homes are built in a factory, we have far greater control over the quality and build time. As we have no build delays (eg. Weather delays), our homes can be built in as little as 8 weeks at a fraction of the cost of a traditionally built home.

Can these homes be re-sold?

Yes, there is an option for us to buy the homes back off you later, or you can sell to the public. Refer Pre-Loved Homes panel on our home page.

Do you build in Bushfire Prone areas?

Yes. We build to comply to the highest Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) Rating of Flame Zone (FZ).

Do you build Garages?

Yes, we do build single and double attached garages.

How long is your build time?

8 weeks is our standard construction time. It may marginally vary dependent on the design complexity.

What is the home installed on? Slab or Piers?

What is the install time?

Depending on the size of the dwelling and how far away your site is, it ranges between 1 – 2 days.

Can these homes be transported at a later date?

Yes, our homes can be transported at a later date, should you wish to move with the house or sell it to someone else.

Is Underfloor insulation included?

It is not a standard inclusion, but a number of clients choose this upgrade option.
