Council and Approval

Wingecarribee Council covers most of the Highlands. The council has strong character and heritage focus in some villages (Bowral, Berrima, Burradoo) and more flexibility elsewhere (Moss Vale, Bundanoon, rural-residential zones). DA timelines typically 10 to 14 weeks. Complying development is available for qualifying granny flats and dwellings outside character zones.

• Some blocks have BAL bushfire ratings (forested areas)
• Frost-prone, so slab edges need insulation
